How Are You Going To Spend That Extra Hour?
The clock is ticking and we are all going to get an extra
hour this weekend when the clocks go back one hour at 2am on Sunday.
If you want to make the most of those precious sixty minutes rather than
sleeping them away we have put some suggestions together for you.
All our ideas can be done in just sixty minutes!
Never Have Time to Workout?
Now you have no excuse –get some exercise and see how many
calories you can burn in an hour. Get in shape but don’t want to hit the gym? Then
get fit in with some chores around the boat - dusting, mopping, polishing and sweeping
all will help get that heart rate up and keep you on the move.
Make That Call
Make the effort to ring friends and family you are
constantly too busy to keep in touch with – it will make their day!
Love Is In The Air
Get together with someone special and enjoy some quality
time together. Devoted those 60 minutes totally to the one you love.
Get Baking
If you have been inspired by the 'Great British Bake Off' then
use that extra hour to bake something yummy, nothing like the smell of fresh
baking floating out the boat. The neighbours are sure to be popping on board!
Need Some Downtime?
Then give yourself a pamper session. Spend the whole hour
relaxing with a face mask and cucumber on your eyes. If you are lucky enough to
have a caring partner they may even give you a massage, which is great if you
have been feeling stressed.
Get Organised
Rearrange your storage solutions. Now is a great time to put
away your summer clothes and pull out the jumpers and jeans.
Plan A Trip
Fancy taking a cruise, or how about planning a day trip, grab
the map and a cup of coffee and book a date in the diary; perhaps you could
invite some friends along.
Time For A New Boat?
If you have boat envy; now's a great time to pop down to our
marina and have a look at the boats for sale. What better way to use that extra hour than
looking for your next dream boat.
(don't forget we close at 5pm from Sunday 26th October)
TV Catch Up
Missed your favourite TV show this week, catch up on demand.
Ready Steady Cook
If you don’t often have time to cook then use the extra hour
to make something yummy for the family. Follow one of Jamie Oliver’s 30 minute
meals and rustle up a super supper for the family. If you make something like a
chilli or casserole double up the quantities and pop the extra in the freezer
for another time.
Christmas Shopping!
Get your Christmas shopping sorted online. Not many weeks
left until Christmas, so it's a good time to get your festive thinking hat on and
wow your friends and family with some thoughtful presents.
Don't forget that our opening hours will change to our winter hours
from Sunday 26th October, meaning we will close at 5pm instead of 6pm!
