20th Annual Crick Boat Show
The Crick Boat Show is an event which has been held annually at Crick Marina in Northamptonshire since 2000. The show is held at Crick Marina, which is situated on the Grand Union Canal, close to junction 18 on the M1. .
Crick Boat Show will celebrate its 20th year with the 2019 Show.
With more than 50 narrowboats, wide-beamed boats, heritage vessels and budget craft on display, there are more boats at Crick this year than ever before. With several dozen boats on the water in the marina, and more to view on land in the centre of the Show Village.

We will be exhibiting with our sister companies Whilton Marina and Cosgrove Park, be sure to visit us in the Waterways World Boating Marquee on stand WW .If you are thinking of buying a Narrow Boat, or maybe you are thinking of trading in your current vessel, Crick is a great place to start looking. The show offers you the opportunity to look at boats currently on the market and discuss your options with boat builders and sellers, to the new and second-hand markets.
As well as being the canal world’s biggest marketplace, showcasing the inland waterways industry with 300 exhibitors, the Show offers a fantastic day out for all the family with dozens of boats to look round, free boat trips, live music, children’s activities, a real ale marquee, and a large variety of food and drink stalls.

Music Headliners
Music entertainment is always a feature of Crick Boat Show. Every year, there is a wide selection of great music and high quality performers on the stage in the large Wheatsheaf Bar Marquee, so you can enjoy the music come rain or shine.
This year there is a tribute to Dolly Parton and great music from The Los Pacaminos from noon 'til late.
Entry for the evening entertainment is included in the price of your ticket - making a trip to Crick incredible value for money.
At Crick Boat Show, visitors can take a free trip out onto the water to experience the Grand Union Canal on one of the trip boats. Trip boats run every 10 minutes from 10.10am each day of the show and each trip lasts 30 minutes. All trips are run by LNBP Community Boating who will be collecting small donations.This is a popular attraction, so we advise that you book your free trip at the Trip Boats Marquee on the Quayside soon after you arrive at the show.
Watercraft and Narrow Boat Skills Centre.
Sessions will take place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The boat trainer will talk you through the basics of casting off, mooring up, boat etiquette, rope handling, breaking down boat jargon as well as the dreaded lock navigation! There’ll be an opportunity to take the tiller and steer the boat under the supervision of an experienced boater.
Seminars
Whether you're just considering getting afloat, a novice or a seasoned boater, there is a seemingly endless amount to be learnt about boat ownership and boating. Mark Langley, Techincal Editor of Waterways World, hosts a series of seminars to support both new and experienced boaters.Seminars will take place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The seminars are designed to cover the most pertinent questions to consider when buying a new or used boat, selling a boat and ensuring your boat is well maintained to avoid problems.For more information on these talks use the button below.Boat Ownership Seminars »All talks are followed by an open question and answer session. A full Seminar TImetable will be available closer to the date of the Show Guarantee your front row seats at the Waterways World SeminarsThe seminars at Crick Boat Show are completely free to attend. However, as the seminars can get very busy you can guarantee a seat near the front of the Seminar Theatre by reserving a place at the Show Information Point for a nominal fee of £1. Bookings can be made ONLY ON THE DAY of the seminar, and are on a first-come, first-served basis and close 20 minutes before the Seminar starts.
The Canal & River Trust Marquee
Set up to care for a 2,000-mile network of waterways in England and Wales, the Canal & River Trust is now one of the UK's biggest charities.There will be a number of displays and activities in the Canal & River Trust Marquee at the Show. The museums team will have a fantastic display and visitors can learn about life on the canal in 19th century. You’ll also have the opportunity to see (and join in with!) apprentices demonstrating lime mortaring and brickwork skills live as they build a stone wall over the course of the weekend.
For Children
Free entry for children on Saturday 25, Sunday 26 and Monday 27 for Crick Boat Show 2019 ! So bring along the whole family on these days, and pay only for the adults, providing excellent value for parents, grandparents and carers.There is no free entry for children on the Trade and Preview Day (Friday 24 May 2019) so if you wish to bring children on this day, they will need a ticket to enter the Show.
There’s free face painting provided by the LNBP Community Boating on the Quayside, who will be collecting donations towards their charity.In the Children's Area of the Show Village there will be inflatables and bungee trampolines.Canal & River Trust will be providing many fun activities for all ages in the Heritage and Wildlife marquee.
