The Upcoming Year at Venetian Marina
After a much needed Christmas break for all, normal service has resumed here at Venetian Marina. 2020 has arrived, and we thought now would be the perfect time to take a look at the exciting things to come here at Venetian, in an attempt to stave off the January blues.
Boaters Supper & Games Night
Always one to embrace the community spirit, Andrea and her team at Venetian Tearooms will be starting a monthly boaters supper & games night for our moorers. Starting Friday the 31st of January, the cafe will be opening it's doors to moorers between 6pm and 9pm, once every month, for an evening of good food and classic board games. The menu is yet to be announced, but the game of choice for the 31st will be Scrabble. Pre-booking will be necessary. for more information pop in or visit their Facebook page.
Open Day
Our annual open day will be held on Sunday the 3rd of May 10am until 4pm, and this year it will be bigger and better than ever! We will be joined by Industry experts Russell Smith (boat safety examiner) & Steve Hand (marine surveyor) who will be available to answer questions. Several canal boat traders will be here too, including Wendy B's floating Art Gallery, Canal Art By Ruth, Stitch On The Water and The Bird Box & Jenny Wren.
We will be joined on the day by the one and only Narrowboat Experience. They will be vlogging during the event and the trip too us, as well as selling some of their very own artwork, Art By Annamarie.
There will also be various craft stalls, such as DB Handcrafted, Frames & Crafts By Claire, Twinkle textiles & Elite Furnishings amongst others. We will also have delicious food provided by Baked On Board, and of course refreshments from Venetian Marina Tearoom. All this, live music, a free prize draw, and so much more!
Crick Boat Show
Crick Boat Show is undoubtedly the biggest date on the boating calendar. This year the show will be held from the 23rd until the 25th of May. Once again Venetian will be present along with our sister company Whilton Marina. Knowledgeable members of staff from both marina's will be present all weekend to answer any and all questions visitors may have.
Here at the marina it is business as usual. We have a great selection of boats available for viewing, with more arriving all the time! Everyone is more than welcome to come along, and who knows, maybe you'll find the perfect boat for you.
